My approach is part guided direction, part intuition, and part design. I style intentionally, shoot emotionally, and always leave room for the unexpected—the unplanned magic that can’t be storyboarded.

I’m a one-woman show (for now), a quick thinker, a soft stylist, and a proud believer in handwritten notes and mailed invitations. You’ll often find me resetting a room mid-shoot, fluffing the curtains for a little more romance, or adjusting a lapel with the same care I give to florals and light.

The truth is, I created The Candor Studio to be the kind of place I wished existed. A place where people could feel held, elevated, and honored in the way they show up. A place where creativity meets comfort, and elegance is in the details.

I’m Janna Tenney, founder, photographer, storyteller, and your dedicated concierge. This studio was born from a desire to create more than just beautiful portraits. I wanted a space where people could feel seen, styled, and celebrated—whether they're building a brand, capturing a legacy, or simply stepping into a moment worth remembering.

With a background in creative direction and a passion for curating thoughtful spaces, I designed The Candor Studio to feel like a stay at your favorite boutique hotel: personal, elevated, and effortlessly elegant.
